Each mass driver can accept up to 60 items per second or 150 with overdrive dome. The two sending mass drivers for each receiving mass driver should be aligned so that the receiver does not need to rotate.

Mass drivers are disabled when power stored is low and when core is almost full of the items they contain.

Mass drivers and phase conveyors are disabled to save power when they do not need to be enabled.
